Hi there!
I’m an Aussie narrator and voice actor with a passion for whimsy, romance, and fantasy with which to provide excitement and contrast to my otherwise pretty pragmatic personality.
My bright, youthful voice makes me relatable to younger audiences and lends itself to the portrayal of teen and young adult characters, which is fortunate for me since I enjoy narrating Middle Grade and Young Adult stories.
My preference is for character driven storytelling, and I live for those super satisfying moments when all of the plot pieces fall into place. Give me a good helping of humour, easy on the ambiguity, add a side of magic, and keep sprinkling on those twists until I say “When.” I particularly love speculative fiction stories which address pertinent real world topics without inhibiting one’s escapism.
With my background in animal science, I am passionate about the natural world and its inhabitants. When out and about, I always have one eye to the sky and the other on the ground watching for wildlife (of which Australia has a wonderful selection). I do my best to reduce my impact on the earth by making a game out of finding new ways to reduce resource consumption; make thoughtful purchases; and re-use, recycle, or re-purpose wherever possible.
Please keep me in mind for your fiction or non-fiction projects with themes of environmentalism; connection with the natural world; and animal behaviour and biology (dragons are animals too!)
I love to lead a cozy, quiet life. When not in the booth, I can usually be found cuddled up with a bird, a book, and a cup of tea; or else pottering around my Tasmanian home indulging my inner artist through various paper, fibre, and wood mediums. When I’m low on vitamin D or need to work out some tension, I’ll take a trip down to the archery range and indulge my inner Epic Fantasy Character self for a few hours, perhaps followed by a dip in the sea if I’m in the mood to empathise with an ice block.
My voice acting journey began with volunteering as a short story narrator for a non-profit radio station run by a team of dedicated volunteers creating audio content for the print handicapped: Print Radio Tasmania. I intended to try it for a short while, give a little to my community, and see if narration could be a fun past time. I never stopped and still regularly volunteer for PRT.
I sought further voice acting opportunities and training from industry experts such as Elise Arsenault from The Great Audiobook Adventure, Robert Lewis from The National Institute of Dramatic Arts, and Tony Wijs and Laneth Sffarlenn from Closing Credits.
In 2024, I left my previous role of Laboratory Animal Technician to pursue voice acting full time.
My journey so far has given me the opportunity to lend my voice to a variety of formats including audiobooks, elearning, podcasts, commercials, IVR, and video voiceovers.
